As part of the annual “Everett Reads” event, the Everett Public Library welcomes mystery-western author Craig Johnson of Longmire fame to the Everett Performing Arts Center on Saturday, February 10th. There is no charge to attend.
“Everett Reads” is an annual event celebrating books, authors, and reading.
Craig Johnson’s tough, flawed sheriff Walt Longmire is probably best known from the hit Netflix and A&E series, but some thirteen books in the award-winning series have graced bestsellers’ lists due to their meditative style, richly drawn characters, and Johnson’s creative storytelling. Longmire is so beloved that Buffalo Wyoming holds an annual convention in July called “Longmire Days,” where the city transforms itself into Durant, county seat of the fictional Absaroka County, where Walt Longmire hangs his hat. Longmire Days hosts author Johnson, and many of the actors in the series.
Craig Johnson will talk about and will read from his Longmire novels at 7:00 PM February 10that the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Avenue in Everett. Book sales and signing will follow.
