4 Dog Friendly Joints to Take Your Best Friend

Besides work, family, and food, my dog is my life. If I had my way, my flopping, snuggly pup would go with me everywhere all the time. If you need more quality time with your pooch, check out one of these Everett businesses that welcome dogs with a smile.

1. The Loft Coffee Bar
My husband and I dropped by with our bearded collie Dixie, and they welcomed her with loud, "Awwwwwws." This is also my go-to place for the working-at-a-coffee-shop vibe, and there is always a fluffy dog laying lazily on the floor.

They'll gladly welcome you and your well behaved friend (or friends) and give you a delicious coffee to boot.

Address:
1309 Hewitt Ave.
Hours:
Monday-Friday: 6 AM-7 PM
Saturday: 7 AM-7 PM
Sunday: 9 AM-5 PM

2. The Everett Farmers Market
The best part about bringing your dog to the farmers market is meeting other people who love dogs too. No one can resist petting a giant, shaggy, happy dog. Trust me, I know.

Plus, you can spoil your friend with a tasty snack or new duds from one of the dog-centric vendors. You've had that collar for too long anyways.

The Farmers Market runs May through October. More info here.

3. J. Matheson Gifts
To quote the owner Judy, "We welcome everyone!" Not only is this shop friendly, but it houses some of the coolest do-dads around. Need a fan that plugs into your phone so you can stay cool on a sunny day? She's got it. Need some quirky note cards to send all of your dog loving friends? She's got that too.

And if he's out and about, make sure to give an extra belly rub to Judy's dog Poko.

Address:
2615 Colby Ave.
Hours:
Monday-Friday: 10 AM-6 PM
Saturday: 10 AM-5:30 PM

4. The Independent Beer Bar
Let's face it, beer was meant to be drunk with your best friend. So let him or her jump up on that bench next to you and bask in the bright sunlight from the Independent's windows. If I were you, I would try some of the Incline Scout Marionberry Cider. But they've got plenty of other stuff on tap right now too.

Address:
1801 Hewitt Ave.
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 4 PM-Midnight
Friday & Saturday:  3 PM-Midnight
Sunday: 12:30 PM-9 PM
