20+ Awesome Things You Don't Want To Miss At 'QUAKE: An EVT Lit Walk'

For the unfamiliar, a lit walk resembles an art walk, only the art is replaced with poetry and prose.  You start at one locale, treat your mind buddy with fantastic live readings and indulge in the offerings of the establishment within, and then you move to the next place, and so on.

Denying the current and steady boom in Everett's cultural infrastructure, across many creative factions including dining, visual arts, music, theatre, and literature, would be met with a tequila laden scoff and a fair warning that your name will most undoubtedly be marked on the wrong side of Wikipedia.

When Emma Bianchi, David Callaway and myself, C. C. Hannett, united to further innovate and expand Everett's amalgam of boom (primarily in Hewitt Avenue's Historic District), it was only a matter of time before we set our eyes on organizing a lit walk.

Allow me to introduce the twenty elements you REALLY don't want to miss out on at 'QUAKE: An EVT Lit Walk':

The Locations (in no particular order)!

1. Secret Mini Amphitheatre on Rockefeller & Wall

Have you ever seen Dead Poets Society with Robin Williams? It's like that. But not.

2. Black Lab Gallery

Home of the weekly reading series, Poetry Laboratory, and an ever impressive rotation of work by local artists.

"Where the art doesn't suck!"

3. The Irishmen

Snag a barstool and gulp down a pint of Guinness or Magners while you smash a serving of Shepherds' Pie.

4. Sol Food Bar & Grill

Reasonably priced Latin dishes rooted in sun soaked cities from around the world await you. Try their rendition of the Peruvian classic aji de gallina or grub on a solid Cubano sandwich while you sip on drink specials. Or cucumber water. Whatever.

5. The Independent Beer Bar

Enjoy your pick of one or all of their 16 taps. If you STILL haven't had anything to eat, you can pound through some Russian Dumplings (I like to call 'em Russian Dumps) or even bring your leftovers from any of the previous establishments since they do allow outside food.

The Writers!

No, we cannot forget the writers. There's 15 of them and they are each an integral part of the event. We are so grateful for the following list of features from Bellingham, Spokane, Olympia, Seattle, and Everett, that our hearts are about to explode they're so full!
