This Weekend: Cruizin’ 2 Colby
What good is a muscle car if you can’t flex it?
This Memorial Day hundreds of vintage autos will converge on Downtown Everett for the 19th annual Cruizin’ 2 Colby event. The streets will close down for a giant civic car show.
The event is free to check out. There will be vendors, music, and dancing. The restaurants and cafes fill up pretty quickly with crowds, and that’s part of the fun.
As a visitor you can stroll among the rows of chrome and collector’s plates. There’s lots of tire-kicking gearhead talk and peeking under the hood.
It’s all for a good cause. To date, C2C has raised $100,000 for local charities including Campfire Snohomish County and Providence Hospice and Home Care Foundation.
I’ve been to C2C a few years and really appreciate the controlled cruise. Watching a line of roaring automobiles file past is a kick and I’m not really even a car guy.
May I recommend VW Alley on Rockefeller, next to The Independent?
Don’t let your muscle car atrophy. Buff it to a shine and let it cruise.
