Wetmore Forest Opens at Funko HQ

"Somewhere deep in the heart of the Pacific Northwest,
not far from Funko's new headquarters on Wetmore Avenue,
there is a wooded glen known as Wetmore Forest.

Among the great mossy, bearded trees, shrouded in mist,
lives a mysterious furry band of critters that come in all
shapes and sizes, each with their own distinct personality.

They are called Pop! Monsters!"

That was the description of the Wetmore Forest I found on Funko's blog

Have ya been yet?

Tumblebee and Butterhorn, waiting to greet you as you enter Wetmore Forest.

I wasn't too sure about this Wetmore Forest business, but I love that this small town's big toy maker is paying homage to its Everett roots, so I was excited to investigate.

The latest addition to Funko HQ's 17,000 sqft retail store boasts 360 degrees of critter-filled forest. I must say, after examining these critters a little further that they're pretty dang cute.

This is Picklez; "quick witted and fast on her feet, this long-eared rascal loves nothing more than a little good-hearted mischief."

The oldest of the monsters, Sapwood Mossbottom.

Wetmore Forest is similar to Funko HQ's other worlds (Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc.) in quality and detail. Although the detail in the ceiling of Wetmore Forest allows for a more intimate and immersive feeling fitting for a forest.

There's also an interactive TV where you can play the Wetmore Forest Mushberry Challenge game to see how far you can make it through the forest.

From larger-than-life Bugsy Wingnut suspended 12 feet up, to a plethora of characters available for purchase in traditional POP! form or varying sizes of plushies, The Wetmore Forest POP! Monsters are a fun addition to Funko's mix.

The cute critters won me over.

It's the other locally inspired Mount Shuksan Monsters I'm still not too sure about...

They look a little angry, don't they?

Go explore Wetmore Forest for yourself, it's free and open to the public.
