EAT + DRINK
If you love delicious Mexican food and a killer deal (who doesn't?), check out Mazatlan. We've become big fans of this place. We love their daily happy hour deals (seriously great) and $5 all you can eat taco Tuesdays. We stopped in with a large group (about 12 people including kids and grandparents) a few weeks back and our service was ridiculously fast.
We finally checked out Everett's new vegan hot spot Cafe Wylde last Friday. Man, it's beautiful inside! We were blown away by the vibe when we walked in. The food was pretty spectacular, too. Don't let the whole vegan thing scare you – we're big time carnivores and couldn't tell the 'pork' we were eating was actually Jackfruit! Here's a great recipe for vegan pulled pork from another blog we love.
ON THE BLOG
Everett Film Fest sent over a list of three must-see films which you can read here. Also, they're seeking amateur local film makers to participate in a short film competition. There's cash on the line for the top films! More info here.
IN OTHER NEWS
We're still recovering from this past weekend's Fisherman's Village Music Festival. We had a blast. We'd like to extend a HUGE thank you to Everett Music Initiative and the many folks who helped make it happen. It is a massive undertaking to put on such a huge event. We're lucky and grateful to have it in our city.
Are you shopping for a new car? If you test drive a vehicle during the month of May at any of these dealerships it'll generate a donation for Housing Hope. Learn about the Drive for Hope campaign here.
