5 Fast Favorites: Dan Eernissee, City of Everett Economic Development Director

Dan Eernissee is ready to help the City of Everett grow. in 2018 he became Everett’s economic development director (he’s the former economic development director for Shoreline). We put Dan to the test to see what his five fast favorites are.

Listen to our interview with Dan from episode 91 & 92 of the Live in Everett Podcast.

1. FAVORITE PLACE IN EVERETT TO TELL FRIENDS ABOUT?

Downtown Everett

Dan loves the walkability of downtown Everett, and so do we. Dan loves walking around downtown so much that his favorite place to get outside in the city is….

2. FAVORITE PLACE TO GET OUTSIDE?

Downtown Everett

Ayyyy! I guess as the development director you need to love your urban core.

3. FAVORITE PLACE IN EVERETT (IN GENERAL)?

Narrative Coffee

This is a legit pick because I’ve seen Dan at Narrative at least five or six times since we interviewed him. He loves Narrative, we love Narrative, Everett loves Narrative.

We’ve had coffee there, ate there, and sell our Live in Everett mugs there, too.

4. FAVORITE ANNUAL EVENT IN EVERETT?

Fisherman’s Village Music Festival

Dan fesses up and says that he hasn’t been to a Fisherman’s Village Music Festival yet (he’s only been here a few months), but he’s certain he’ll love it. We love it too.

Read about the changes coming to Fisherman’s Village in 2019.
Check this spot for tickets and lineup info.

5. FAVORITE HIDDEN GEM?

Jetty Island

Another spot Dan wants to check out when the beach opens July 5, Jetty Island could possibly be the crown jewel of Everett.

Richard Porter loves Jetty Island so much that he called it “Everett’s Best Summer Chill Spot”.
We filmed a Live in Everett TV there (and Garret forgot his camera on the beach).
