Punk is one of the most important sub genres of rock and it has influenced countless aspects of pop culture ever since the style began to gain wide spread attention in the 1970s. Although punk rock has it's roots much earlier than that, this show will be largely focusing on the bands that helped launch the punk rock scene of the '70s, '80s, and early '90s.
