For the seventh straight year Everett Public Library and the Mossyback Morris Men invite the public to help drive away the winter blues and celebrate the new year.
Looking like deranged chimney sweeps, the Mossyback Morris Men perform an ancient British form of ritual dance called “The Morris,” which celebrates the good earth and its seasons. Their spirited dances include large sticks which they clash together, handkerchiefs for flicking the devil in the eye, suspenders, colored streamers and jingling bells on their shins.
