A new series of hands-on workshops for kids entering grades 2-6. Tinker, experiment, and build a new take-home project each week!

Ages: Entering grades 2-6
Time: 2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Members: $15 per child per day
Non-members: $20 per child per day

July 18 – Telescopes and Microscopes
Experiment with lenses and learn how to turn a smartphone into a microscope

July 25 – Squishy Circuits
Make your own conductive dough and use it to build a light-up sculpture

August 1 – Balloon Racers
Design a car and make it move with air power

August 8 – 3D Tops
Enter the world of 3D printing by designing your own spinning top

August 15 – Toy Take-Apart
Find and repurpose the machines and mechanisms inside moving toys

August 22 – Paper Circuits
Test conductive materials and add them to a light-up work of art

August 29 – Cranky Contraptions
Build a mechanical masterpiece with simple machines like wheels, cams, and linkages
