Everett Food Truck Fest & Upper Left Beerfest 2022: What You Need To Know To Go

What's better than a vast variety of delicious street food and dessert to choose from on a sunny day in downtown Everett? Loads of delicious craft beer next door, of course!

This year marks the 2nd year that the Everett Food Truck Festival has partnered this closely with the Upper Left Beerfest, where both events will be happening on the same day and the same street! Now technically, these are separate events, so there are some differences. Here's what you need to know to optimize your delicious day of yum.

Everett Food Truck Festival (All ages)

Twenty food trucks will line Wetmore Ave in front of Funko and the Wetmore Theatre Plaza. You can check out the whole list of trucks at www.EverettFoodTruckFestival.com. But suffice it to say, there will be an incredible variety of food + dessert trucks to satisfy your sweet tooth.

The Food Truck Fest is Saturday, 8/13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no admission to attend; just bring payment for food. The festival is family-friendly and open to all ages.

The Food Truck Festival is the only sizeable annual event we (Live in Everett) put on. Our booth will be in front of Wetmore Plaza if you want to come to say hi, have questions, or check out any of our merch.

Everett Makers Market, Street Market (All ages)

The Everett Makers Market will be immediately south of Wetmore Plaza on California street with over 30 artisan vendors and small businesses. It will be the perfect area to peruse while digesting in between meals. Find family-friendly activities, giveaways, and excellent locally crafted goods you can't find anywhere else.

Support your local artists! The Makers Market will be open on the same date and time as the Food Truck Fest, Saturday, 8/13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is free to attend, and all ages are welcome!

Upper Left Beerfest (21+)

Upper Left Beerfest will be on the same street as the Food Truck Fest (Wetmore Ave) just south of Hewitt on the next block over. With over 25 brewers pouring meads, ciders, seltzers, and of course, lots of craft beer. Upper Left Beerfest will kick off Friday, August 12 at 4 p.m. with a "Hoppy Hour" featuring DJ Forrest Gump. Saturday, August 13, will run from noon to 7 p.m. featuring live music on stage all day with everything from originals to fun, upbeat covers.

You can purchase Beerfest tickets at www.UpperLeftBeerfest.com.

VIP After Party at Think Tank Cowork (21+)

Think Tank Cowork is located on the same street as the food truck festival and will host an after-party on Saturday with music and games on their rooftop deck from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Text THINKTANK-VIP to 21000 to RSVP and for more details.

Parking

Another event is happening Saturday, 8/13, at Angel of the Winds Arena (Street League Skateboarding); that starts at noon, with doors opening at 11 a.m. The Everett Food Truck Fest also kicks off at 11 a.m., so parking around downtown may fill up quickly. Street parking, if available, will put you closest to the festival. Another good option just a few blocks west of the festival is the Everpark Parking Garage at 2815 Hoyt, with free parking on nights and weekends.

If you have to park too far away on the street, either plan accordingly with good walking shoes (probably ideal for a festival anyways) or rent a Bird scooter to have a little fun while you cruise to the fest.

Other Stuff to Know

Aside from comfortable shoes, here are a few other helpful things to keep in mind:

  • Wear sunscreen. It's summer, and the rays are intense.

  • Drink water. Warm temperatures are forecasted. Most food trucks will have drink options or water for sale. Whatever you choose to drink, stay hydrated, especially if you are drinking alcohol from Beerfest!

  • Bring patience. Sometimes, food truck lines can get long, and the festival can get pretty busy, so be prepared to wait. And if you choose the right food truck, the wait will be worth it!

We look forward to seeing you at the festival! Thanks to our 2022 sponsors for helping make the Everett Food Truck Festival possible: ESC Mattress Center, Diedrich Espresso, Granite Transformations, Coastal Community Bank, and Everett Community College.
