May's Film Reccomendations from the Everett Film Festival Crew
We recently met up with the folks who run the Everett Film Festival. We learned a lot about this great non-profit that has been hosting an annual film festival in Everett for nearly 20 years (holy smokes!).
The festival crew is constantly screening TONS of movies throughout the year to find just the right fits for the big yearly event. Many films are great, but may not be a good fit for the festival.
So, without further ado, here are 3 film recommendations sent over from the Everett Film Festival crew that you can watch now.
Enjoy,
Garret + Tyler
1) First on the list is a short film that we screened at the Film Festival a couple of years ago. This film recounts the true events of a Czech Jew who is pursued by Nazi’s. David and Goliath a Billy Burke film (BTW, Billy Burke was born in Everett!). Click here to watch now.
2) A feature film available on HBO On Demand (which you will need an account for) is Nothing Left Unsaid. This is a conversation between Anderson Cooper and his mother Gloria Vanderbilt. Click here.
3) Available on KCTS is a film about artist, Kehinde Wiley, whose work was recently featured at the Seattle Art Museum. This film documents how Mr. Wiley finds people on the streets of New York to be his models and the world of fashion and art he propels them into. The film is called, Kehinde Wiley: An Economy of Grace. Click here to watch it now.
