All About Bears at the Northwest Stream Center!

  • Adopt a Stream Foundation 600 128th Street Southeast Everett, WA, 98208 United States (map)

ALL ABOUT BEARS is the feature Streamkeeper Academy event at the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Northwest Stream Center in Snohomish County’s Mc Collum Park.

Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife Officer Nick Jorg, who you may have seen on Animal Planet, is going to conduct a very lively and entertaining presentation about Washington State bears. His partner, who may steal the show, is Colter – a very large Karelian bear dog who helps resolve bear/people conflicts (to learn more about Karelian bear dogs go towdfw.wa.gov and type “bear dogs” in the search bar).

After the bear show you will have an opportunity to walk on the Northwest Stream Center’s 1/2 mile-long Elevated Nature Trail!! This is a fun event for the whole family.

Pre-registration is required by calling 425-316-8592; $5 members, $7 non-members.
