After the release of her feature documentary, Verona: The Story of the Everett Massacre in 2017, filmmaker Denise Ohio continued learning more about the shoot-out at the Everett City Dock on November 5, 1916. In her new project, the “Annotated Everett Massacre,” Ohio shares what she’s discovered, including new info from the transcript of the trial of IWW Tom Tracy, defense investigator notes, biographical details about participants from archives around the country, and more. Join us to explore how this new material sheds light on why those aboard the Verona and those on the City Dock found themselves in a gunfight.
We’ll share a “Soup Line” including chili stew, cornbread, and pie! RSVP by November 1st by email to historiceverett@gmail.com so we know how many guests to prepare food.
