FREE feature film with refreshments and a panel discussion about the tragic reality of sex trafficking in the Seattle area giving voice to those whose lives are impacted including runaway children targeted by it, parents desperately searching for their children, and police helping victims escape.
A panel discussion following with:
- Paula Newman-Skomski of Peoria Home providing long-term secure housing and services for women trying to leave the sex trade
- Nico Quijane (Advocate Supervisor) + Mariya Carter (Human Trafficking Advocate)of Cocoon House empowering young people and families to break the cycle of homelessness
- Detective Larry Cole-a 25+ year veteran of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, with the Sex Trafficking Task Force
- Karen Shoaf-Mitchell-Retired school teacher and League of Women Voters volunteer
