Get into the holiday spirit at Everett’s Wintertide Kickoff Celebration, proudly hosted by the City of Everett, in partnership with the Downtown Everett Association. Join us for a festive and family-friendly afternoon and evening in downtown Everett's hip and historic central shopping district.
When: Friday, Nov. 29 from 2-8 p.m.
Where: Downtown Everett at intersection of Colby and Hewitt.
What: Join Santa, Elsa and Anna and Santa’s Elves for tradition making family fun!
Festivities include:
Blizzards on the hour: Join us at the Quadrangle (the intersection of Colby and Hewitt Avenues) for the ultimate winter experience of being in a snowstorm, with flurries on the hour from 2-5 p.m. The faux snow is safe, non-toxic and non slippery.
"Frozen" ice princesses and Santa: The famous ice princesses, Elsa and Anna, from "Frozen" will be on site for meet-and-greets, photos and a sing-a-long! Find them at the intersection of Hewitt and Colby from 2-6 p.m.
Crafts in the Wintertide Workshop: Led by community partners, and our own Everett Parks and Facilities crew, we will have self-directed and artist-led crafts for the kiddos to take home. Pick up a Wintertide Bingo card to play during the holiday season and winners can claim a small prize at Everett Public Library or Everett Station. Find the tent on the north (pole) side of Colby and Hewitt from 2-8 p.m.
Movies at the Historic Everett Theatre: The theater located at 2911 Colby will come alive with the joyous sounds of holiday-themed music and holiday movies.

• "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" 7-7:26 p.m. (Animated
short film, 26 min.)
• "The Grinch" 7:40-9:10 p.m. (Live action film, 1 hr., 30 min.)
Live music and a radio DJ: Everett High School's Jazz Combo will perform. During the rest of the time, KRKO will be providing some Wintertide season classics to raise the holiday spirit!
Santa's arrival: The arrival of Santa on the Santa Sleigh Bus will occur around 4:45 p.m. Be ready for the arrival of Jolly Ole Saint Nick at the intersection of Colby and Hewitt Avenues (the road will be closed to traffic).
"Stuff-A-Bus:" If you're in the giving spirit, bring a non-perishable canned food item or an unopened toy to donate to the Volunteers of America.
Tree lighting countdown: The countdown to Everett’s famous tree lighting and the downtown holiday lights at 5 p.m.!
Free Santa photos: The jolly old elf himself, after lighting up downtown, will take a seat in the fancy chair in the Historic Everett Theatre lobby for pictures and spreading holiday cheer from 5:30-8 p.m. Bring your own camera to capture the moment!
Fa la la food trucks and snacks: She's Got Bowls, Pioneer Popcorn, Sierra's Coffee Stop, Dick's Drive-In and more food vendors will be on site to fill your bellies. We will also provide free cider, cocoa and cookies!
Free to everyone! This year's Wintertide Kickoff Celebration is your gateway to the enchanting Wintertide Season. Take this opportunity to explore downtown Everett in all its charm, from its inviting shops and boutiques to its cozy pubs and delightful restaurants.
Parking: Be generous and save the street parking for those with limited mobility. Park in Everett's FREE parking garage, Everpark. It's smack-dab in the middle of all the action.
Restrooms: Available for public use at the Historic Everett Theatre and 2912 Wetmore.
