Step Up To The Plate - New Ballpark Info Meeting

The Everett City Council is going to have a very important vote in mid-December that will decide the future of the AquaSox in Everett! To show the City Council how important the vote is to the AquaSox community, we are going to have another New Ballpark Update Meeting / Rally on December 3rd in downtown Everett.

We need YOU to help us fill the ballroom at the Courtyard by Marriott at 3003 Colby Avenue in Everett! If you attended the first meeting, we respectfully ask that you do your best to attend this meeting as well. If you did NOT attend the first meeting, then now is your time to show your support of the AquaSox and what they mean to you, to your family, to your business, and to the community! Please join us on Tuesday night for the New Ballpark Update Meeting about the next steps in building a new ballpark for the AquaSox or renovating Funko Field. This will be a very informative meeting and will answer a lot of your questions about the future of the AquaSox in Everett.

Doors will open at 6:00 PM.

  • Everett Unity Center for Positive Living (map)

Lonnie Dalrymple, Mindfulness Meditation Instructor, former board member, and congregant of Everett Unity will be teaching a weekly  Mindfulness Meditation class. Your generous love offering is gratefully accepted.

DATE: Every Wednesdays
TIME: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Church Social Hall

We will discuss the proven benefits of a mindfulness practice and learn the basic structure of Mindfulness Meditation. You will learn how to practice Mindfulness Meditation while sitting and walking. If you can make it to more than one class, you will have the opportunity to discuss how the previous week of practice went, share in supporting and cheering for each other and their progress through this experience. We will continue to add to the information each week so you will have a good foundation for your own practice and growth.

About the instructor.   I have been a member of Unity in Everett for at least 20 years. In October of 2021 I began an intensive five-month training to become a certified Mindfulness meditation instructor. Like many, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation has long been an interest of mine. I have done quite a bit of self-study. So, I had some threads of knowledge.  I needed a foundation to build my personal practice on and the training I received in this class gave me all that and more.

It was an amazing experience to be immersed with other students from around the world, and teachers who are well known to Mindfulness practitioners. Now I know what techniques Brain Scientists and Psychologists (and others who study the effects of Mindfulness Meditation) are talking about when instructing a group of subjects to practice  Mindfulness meditation for 30 days, etc. so they can measure the effects of the practice on our emotions, our mental health and our happiness.

Holiday Hygge - A cappella Concert and NATS Fundraiser

Join us for a magical afternoon of festive melodies and cozy camaraderie at our second annual Holiday Hygge! This year’s event features FOUR enchanting local a capella groups: Outpour, Emerald City Voices, Seatown Sound, and Restless Vocal Band. From soulful ballads to contemporary hits and joyous carols, this event promises to evoke the spirit of the holidays and leave you filled with merriment.

What makes this event even more special? It's all for a great cause! Bring your friends, family, and fellow music lovers as we come together to raise funds for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).

NATS is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world, with more than 7000 members representing over thirty-five countries. These members represent the diversity of today’s music landscape, teaching in all vocal styles. This association is particularly meaningful to us and we are thrilled to contribute our voices to such a special cause.
Tickets are a suggested $10 for entry and will be sold at the door (cash or card accepted). One hundred percent of the proceeds will be benefiting NATS. If you would like to learn more ways to give, please visit:

https://www.nats.org/give.html

https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx...

Please RSVP and we will see you on Sunday, December 15th for this warm holiday event with a cause. See you there!

Wednesday Minfulness Meditation
