This initiative, organized by Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens and Great Yarns of Everett, promises to captivate visitors and infuse the tranquil setting with a riot of hues and textures as the final event celebrating the Arboretum’s 60th year.
Yarn bombing, the art of adorning public spaces with knitted or crocheted yarn creations, will take center stage as local artists and enthusiasts unite to weave a tapestry of imagination within the lush confines of Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens. Tree trunks will will serve as a canvas for this unique form of artistic expression, and yarn pom poms will hang from limbs. And after the event all yarns will be recycled.
