Are you applying for college or graduate school? Is a personal essay part of the application or scholarship application process? If so, this course will help you craft a “winning chance” essay that makes your personal experience shine. Learn to take your story and weave it into a memorable narrative. For this course, if you already have a draft of your essay completed, you can bring your essay to be reviewed for revision and final drafts. If you don’t have an essay done, no worries! Just bring a pen/pencil and notebook for the drafting, writing, and revision process. Laptops are optional. This course will be run as a workshop with plenty of constructive, individualized feedback in a friendly environment.

In this four-week course you'll learn:

• Brainstorming, drafting, revising the personal narrative essay
• Identifying the audience and the most effective lesson/point of view needed to reach that audience
