This gentle form of yoga is practiced in a chair. Some standing
poses will be practiced (chairs can be used for support). We will
focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and breath. All welcome –
including those with mobility challenges, those recovering from
surgery, pregnant moms in any stage of pregnancy, and moms in
post-birth recovery! After some gentle movement, the class will
transition to practicing relaxation, breathwork, and meditation
techniques. Wear comfortable clothes that allow for a range of
movement and stretching. Wear layers or bring a blanket for the
2nd half of class
Registered Yoga Teacher Cara VanDyke (she / her) approaches the yoga postures as a practice focused on alignment and the functional movement of the body. Her classes are structured with intelligence sequencing that is accessible to all level of students and allows one to be in a state of ease. Cara is dedicated to
anti-racism work and instruction that honors the roots and traditions of yoga. You can count on her to create a safe and judgement-free space where every student can develop a personal practice that extends off the mat and into their life.
