High-trending blogger and author Geraldine DeRuiter appears at the Everett Public Library Auditorium for a free reading of her latest works.

Seattle’s DeRuiter began her travel blog in 2009, when she was laid off from her copywriting job and began blogging about her experiences while accompanying her globe-trotting husband. The blog has been a huge success, being consistently named one of the best travel blogs by travel magazines, travel websites, and mainstream media outlets like Time magazine. DeRuiter’s “Everywhereist” blog is described by reviewers as “funny,” “witty,” “warm” and “honest.” She calls it a “cuss-filled love letter” to her husband.

DeRuiter will read selected passages from her new book, All Over the Place, recently published by Public Affairs Books. She will also answer audience questions about writing, travel, and blogging.
