December is always one of our favorite months on the Engage Everett planning committee - it's our annual donation drive! Each year, the committee selects a local nonprofit to highlight at our December event and collect donations for the organization's end-of-year campaigns. We're excited to share that we've selected the Everett Public Schools Foundation (EPSF) as our partner nonprofit this year!
Those of you who attended our September event may remember hearing form Kay Fantin, Executive Director of EPSF, about the wide variety of ways the foundation supports students, families, and teachers in the Everett Public School District. Kay's update resonated with all of us, and we're excited to partner with EPSF this December.
Areas of greatest need in the student & family resource center this winter include:
- Canned/nonperishable foods
- Baby products such as diapers, wipes, formula, etc.
- Hygiene products - toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner, soap, and other toiletries; toothbrushes; feminine hygiene products; etc.
- Warm blankets! Blankets are a highly-requested item, and the resource center does not currently have any in their inventory. We've seen tons of blanket deals advertised for Black Friday, so this weekend would be a great time to pick up a few to donate!
You'll receive one entry into this month's drawings per item donated (and a bonus entry for each new blanket donated). We're getting some great prizes lined up for you!
