E. Grace Dager explores the hidden realm at our fingertips, and what that might look like if we could see a magnified view. Drawing from her imagination and in preponderance of the changing world, she explores the potential beauty of a deadly pathogen, and comes to terms with that which we can not control, nor eradicate.

Come check out the new mural behind our upstairs bar and meet Mahllie! Be sure to check out works by Ben Darby (DOWNSTAIRS) and Taylor Hudson (UPSTAIRS) as well! We will have music accompanying the art show by Jill Collins.

Ben Darby grew up in San Diego and Seattle, graduating from Cornish College in 1994. He has shown at many galleries around the United States, including Bryan Ohno and Linda Hodges in Seattle. In 2011 Darby was selected as one of the artists to have a piece installed in the San Diego International Airport. He was commissioned in 2014 to illustrate a scientific textbook on the subject of Microphages and his black and white drawings were spotlighted in the New Yorker.
The works shown here at Black Lab Gallery are from various points in his career. The medium is Acrylic based paint on canvas of panel. Many of the 3-D elements protruding from the paintings were poured into a mold, let harden, and then attached to the painting.

On May 19th Artisans PNW will be cutting the big red ribbon at 4:30PM and celebrating the Grand Opening by hosting Everett Artist, Julie Roehling, for the Everett Art Walk from 5PM – 9PM. Meet the artist and wander the shop with nibbles and bites - wine service and small bites will be available and will benefit Ripple Ministries’ Teen Storytellers Project.
