Photographer Christine Mitchell has been documenting Everett musicians for years now through Seattle Music Insider, so she's built up a stable of great places to check out in town.

Check out her Five Fast Favorites from her episode of the Live in Everett Podcast. Listen to the whole episode here.

1. FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT

The New Mexicans

Evvy Award winner for the best sweet spot (they have cinnamon rolls the size of your head), The New Mexicans is also the spot to get some insanely good green enchiladas and made-from-scratch margaritas. Peep their happy hour menu and brave the Uber Pool. It's worth it.

2. FAVORITE PLACE TO DRINK

Toggle's Bottle Shop

Our downstairs neighbor, Toggle's and The New Mexicans are on the same block, so if beer's your game, you can always take your enchiladas up the block to Toggle's. Over 600 beers and a curated rotating tap list makes Toggle's something special. If Bryan is working, tell him his band is awesome

Watch us drink beer there, too.

3. WATCH THE SUNSET?

The Ferry

We're not sure if she was referring to the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry or the Jetty Island ferry, but we're gonna keep it local, so Jetty Island it is. It's a real sandy beach, in Everett! And it's a short ferry ride to get there. I mean, really short, and the views of the sunset are pretty spectacular.

Live in Everett's own Richard Porter thinks Jetty Island is Everett's best summer chill spot. Nobody has changed his mind yet.
