We Came, Played, and Left Good and Tired: Little Pandas Play Cafe

In case you haven’t heard yet, Everett has a new play cafe! Little Pandas Play Cafe opened a couple of months ago off Everett Mall Way. I’ve taken my kids twice, and we can’t wait to go back. There is a large play space for kids and a separate space for the crawlers and the sitters. There are tables and chairs surrounding the play space for parents to sit and sip coffee and watch their kids play.

This play space is so well thought out, there’s something for all kids. My kids loved the large play structure; that’s about all they did on our first visit. But there’s also a large doll house, a play restaurant, a little market, capes and masks for dress up, and more! It’s enough to keep your kids busy for a very long time. And we all know how much we love that.

When your kids are playing hard, they will inevitably need a snack or five. Luckily, Little Pandas Play Cafe thought of everything. They have kid friendly grab and go snacks and other food to order. Sometimes adults like to have snacks too (that’s me!). And let me tell you- if you have small children, it’s probably been a while since you’ve sat down and relaxed with a pastry and a warm beverage, or iced, if that’s your thing. There’s nothing quite like it, and I know, you miss it. This is your opportunity to let your kids play while you sittervise.
Bring your spouse for a coffee date, bring a friend so you can catch up without being interrupted every 10 seconds, or take the kids by yourself so you can sit without talking for a while (I daydream about this).
Now, it is possible that your kids might actually need you while you’re there. The play cafe has been laid out so that almost every seat is in view of the play area. This is great if you have kids who are more comfortable playing when they can see that you’re there if they need you.
Some tips for making the most of your visit:

There is a waiver that needs to be filled out. You can do this online on their website ahead of time so that you don’t need to do it when you arrive with your kids playing hide and seek between your legs.
Children are required to have grippy socks on. You can purchase them there, but you can also bring your own.
It can be busy! One of our visits was around 3pm on a saturday. It was pretty crowded. Our next visit was on a Sunday morning and we stayed into typical nap time hours. It definitely quieted down around noon.
The pass you buy for your child is good for as long as you want to stay there, unless they are close to capacity, then there is a time limit. When we went on a busy Saturday, it was 2 hours max. This timeframe was totally fine for us. You can also purchase a membership and go all the time!
I love the play cafe concept, it would be amazing to have more resources like this for our community. I’m so excited to support this mom owned business and I hope to see you there some time!
