Emory's Fun Run to Raise Money for Housing, Puppies
Emory’s Lakeside Bistro and Bar, classy restaurant on Silver Lake, is hosting a fun run on September 3rd.
The race route takes participants around the South Everett lake.
The event benefits Housing Hope and Beck’s Place. Housing Hope connects people to affordable housing in Snohomish County. Beck’s Place is a Monroe-based nonprofit that fosters at-risk dogs and offers pay-what-you-can vet services.
You don’t have to be a runner to participate. You can walk, jog, skip, strut, stroll, gallop, sashay, or even (I suppose) cha-cha your way around the lake. Fun is the idea. There will be a timer at the finish line for competitive types.
Race admission is $35 with a t-shirt, $25 with no t-shirt. Kids under 14 can participate for free.
Race admission gives you a drink ticket and a free downloadable photo of you while you’re racing (this is key to social media humble-brags).
Come out, lace up your Reeboks, and enjoy a good cause!
