EVT PSA: Brown Bag Lunch Series Coming to the Everett Public Library
We received the below press release from the Everett Public Library. We don't typically share many press releases, but an opportunity for a BYOBBL (Bring your own brown bag lunch) to enjoy with some neighbors while community members share about cool stuff sounded pretty neat to us. And it's geared toward seniors (but open to all adults)... so basically lunch with wisdom itself.
From the press release:
"Everett Public Library will host a new brown-bag lunch speaker series starting this fall. The series will feature prominent speakers from the local area and will cover a variety of topics of interest to local audiences: public issues, insights into how we work and live, and more.
The series is primarily aimed at seniors, but adults of all ages are welcome.
The series will be held the second Thursday of each month from 11:30 am to 1pm at the Everett Public Library at 2702 Hoyt Avenue in Everett. Each month will feature speakers from the Everett area discussing an eclectic mix of topics. The first event will be on Thursday, September 13, when Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Richard Okrent will give a show and tell about his and his wife’s recent trip to Greece.
Bring your lunch and come ready to listen and share! Tabby’s Coffee Shop in the library will offer all seniors a 20% discount on food and beverages on the second Thursday of the month.
For more information, please call 425-257-7640."
