To paraphrase the famous song, it’s summertime and the brewing is easy.
This year Everett’s Toggle’s Bottle Shop is teaming up with Upper Left Beer Fest, Middleton Brewing, the Independent Beer Bar, Lazy Boy, At Large, and Scuttlebutt to bring you an expanded summer brew experience called Everett Beer Week. 6 breweries and 3 tap houses are participating to make this a truly citywide event.
It’s an eight day party sure to keep even the die-hardest of die-hard brew nerds hoppy (heh).
You’ll remember that the Upper Left Beerfest is the annual summer street party on Hoyt, outside the Main Library and the Library Place apartments. This year the festival is offering drinks from 30 of the best breweries and cideries in the Pacific Northwest, as well as live music and food trucks.
Upper Left marks the start of Everett Beer Week on Friday, Saturday the 7th at 4:00 p.m. TGIF! Upper Left will rock Hoyt until 8:30 p.m.
At 8:30 you can head over to Toggle’s Bottle Shop at 1420 Hewitt. There will be a kickoff party at Toggle's from 8:30-9:30 p.m. with an “Ode to Everett” tap list and lots of Everett Beer Week swag.
This is only the start of beer week, which takes place at Toggle's and multiple venues across the city. Other events include a bike ride, a costume dash, Middleton's fifth birthday bash, and a Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots tournament at the Independent Beer Bar.
There's so much going on that, if you're passionate about local brews, you'll want to check out the full list of events here and mark your calendar accordingly.
I’ll drink to that.
