How did you first get started in your craft?
I've always loved music and learned to play the piano as a kid. Two years ago I found an adorable pink, sparkly, and hand-painted ukulele and I fell in love! I taught myself how to play the ukulele and soon I started writing my own songs. I loved writing songs so much that I decided to record my music, develop my persona and started playing shows!
A lot of people in my family are artistic, and I've always been creatively inclined! I had art classes in school that really inspired me to become an artist!

Favorite Artist(s) and/or Inspirations?
Artists that inspire me are Kimya Dawson, Daniel Johnston, The Mountain Goats, Elliott Smith, Mal Blum, Sufjan Stevens, The Velvet Underground, Violent Femmes, Beach Fossils and Tame Impala! I'm also super inspired by local musicians and artists in Everett and Seattle!
Favorite Piece You've Created?
My opinion on my art is constantly changing! However, I'm super excited about the album I'm working on right now! My music is very raw, quirky, and sincere and having those flaws is really something that I want in my music. I hope people enjoy the album as much as I did making it!

How can people be supportive of the arts?
It means so much when people come to shows! Supporting artists financially, or even just with encouragement and help. Buying merch is also really important because you're supporting the artist directly. Recognizing the amount of work that goes into art and paying for it is integral to supporting the arts.

What's next for you?
Right now I'm working on my first full-length album and I'm super excited about it! I write a lot about my personal journey and what I’m experiencing, each song is a story I want to tell and it’s part of my life and part of my experience! It's full of lyrically driven quirky, and endearing songs straight from the heart!
