Welcome Magazine Launches in Snohomish County

I’d like to welcome Snohomish County’s newest (and first) luxury magazine to town: Welcome Magazine. Welcome is a print magazine published twice/year. And, well, how about I let them tell you who they are in their own words:

“WELCOME Magazine is the voice and vision of Snohomish County. A luxury travel, business, and leisure publication that informs and entertains readers about the culture, the people, and the considerable business opportunities in the region.”

To put it another way- Welcome Magazine believes good things are happening around here. I like that about them. In fact, after seeing the first issue (and having known the publisher for many years) I liked what they were doing so much that I have since become a sales rep for them.

One of the things that sold me on Welcome is the way it feels in my hands. The coating on the cover has a great rubbery matte feel to it. I love the feel not only because print is becoming increasingly rare, but mostly because it’s actually probably the nicest feeling magazine I have ever picked up.

Oh, and did I mention the magazine is free? Luxury and free... a combination about as common as a Sasquatch sighting.

In case you haven’t had the pleasure of flipping through the large glossy pages of the inaugural issue yet, here’s just a few of the stories to look forward to in the Fall/Winter issue that’s out now:

The featured cover story is of Brett Smith, CEO of Propeller Airports who “is changing the way people travel.” Bryan Corliss’ feature does a great job capturing Smith’s vision around the new Snohomish County Airport.

There’s also pieces on Edmonds by Carol Banks Weber, Russell’s Restaurant and their 5-course winemaker dinners, fashion for the NW lifestyle, and much more.

Oh yes, and of course, Everett has a solid presence. With an article about the making of Waterfront Place and Hotel Indigo. As well as a piece on the Schack and other mentions throughout.

It’s great to see more positive and quality content about our beautiful region. I also love that Welcome can be another outlet for local artists to publish their work.

With exclusive distribution through the new Snohomish County Airport, as well as many local hotels, waiting rooms, and fine restaurants, keep your eye out for a copy of Welcome Magazine.

It may just become a welcome addition to your reading collection.
