Everett Holiday Happenings 2021

There is so much holiday excitement planned this year that we’ll be waiting in the car. But first, let us tell you about the amazing lineup.

Most exciting is Holiday by the Bay on December 4 from 12:30 to 6 p.m., hosted by Live in Everett Member Port of Everett. There will be kids crafts, Touch-a-Truck, holiday drive-in movies, tree lighting including a frozen fountain tree, lighted boat parade and so much more.

To outdo themselves, the Port of Everett is hosting an ice rink this year too!!!  It will be an open-air, tent-covered rink opening on November 27th. Learn more about it here and get tickets here

HOLIDAY LIGHTS

Join the City of Everett to kick off the holiday season as they light the Colby Tree Saturday, November 27 at 4 p.m. Enjoy music, see Santa and enjoy warm hot cocoa. FREE

Everyone’s favorite light display, Irwin Family Lights, will be back for your holiday delight. Check their Facebook page for dates and details. FREE

Wintertide Lights is back at The Everett Arboretum and Gardens. In a partnership with the City of Everett, the arboretum will be lit up for the holidays from December 1 to 31. FREE

We didn’t make it to the Trees of Christmas at Bible Baptist Church last year but heard nothing but great things. It’s a drive-thru event running December 2 to 5 from 6 to 8 p.m nightly with decorated trees, music and the story of Christmas. There will be interactive activities for the family and refreshments.  FREE

Speaking of holiday lights, Live in Everett Member PUD is holding its Holiday Lighting Exchange and Food Drive. It is a drive-through event at Evergreen Fairgrounds on December 3 at 10 a.m. You can receive up to three strands of LED holiday lights in exchange for old strands or a donation of non-perishable food items.

Join up with the PNW Ladies Running Group for a run or walk through the Fir Grove Neighborhood by Silver Lake on December 14 at 6 p.m. and see the light displays. FREE

For more holiday light displays, check out Snohomish County Holiday Maps on Facebook.

We don’t know how Santa is going to do it all, but he’s booked all over Everett. Here are a few special events he has planned:

MUSIC

The Village Theater is back! They have a special Welcome Home performance of holiday music and good cheer running now through December 5.

It may not be a holiday concert, but it will feel festive nonetheless because the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing live after the pandemic hiatus. Catch their Masterworks season opener on November 28 at 3 p.m.

Everett Mall will host Kristen Marlow and Sean Morse for holiday jingles on December 9 and 23 at 4 p.m.

We’re not certain if it will be Christmas music at their Metal show, but Tony V’s will donate all money collected at the door to Toys For Tots on December 18 at 7:30 p.m.

NEW YEARS

We’re not hearing much on the interwebs about New Year’s celebrations yet so make sure to check our Events Calendar for updates and sign up for our weekly newsletter.

The one thing we know is that Black Lab Gallery is hosting a sure-to-be epic Purple Haze Masquerade Ball on December 31 at 7 p.m.

It’s hard to believe, but that’s not all. Check out the City of Everett’s Wintertide page for even more Everett Holiday Happenings.

Cheers!
