Live in Everett Member Profile: Lamoureux Real Estate
We’re super thankful to our Live in Everett Members - local organizations who have stepped up to help make Live in Everett possible. Lamoureux Real Estate has been a supporter of Live in Everett since the beginning.
We caught up with Chris Lamoureux, Managing Broker/Realtor, to learn more about what long-time Everett institution Lamoureux Real Estate is all about.
How did your organization first get started?
Barb Lamoureux began selling real estate in Snohomish County in 1988. She quickly became a top-producing agent and stood out amongst her peers as a leader in the industry. Her son, Chris, had been helping her as an unofficial assistant from the time he was 15 years old. In 2000, Chris joined her as a full-time licensed agent and in 2004 they opened Lamoureux Real Estate as a boutique-style, neighborhood brokerage with a vision of hiring other like-minded agents to follow their same approach to customer service.
What’s your mission?
“The mission of Lamoureux Real Estate is to improve your real estate experience while supporting the communities in which we live and operate.”
Why should people choose you? Or, what makes you different?
Lamoureux Real Estate has been built on creating meaningful relationships with their clients. When you choose to work with a Lamoureux Real Estate agent you can be sure that you are choosing to work with someone who knows the business, knows the community, and knows that satisfied home buyers and sellers always come first.
Why did you choose Everett?
Barb and Chris are lifelong residents of Everett, their roots have been in the community going back to the mid-1920’s so it was only natural to operate their business in the city they know and love!
What's your favorite thing about your organization or what you do?
On the listing side; helping clients fully maximize the value of their home through our strategic approach to preparation, marketing and representation. On the buyers’ side; walking our clients through the home buying process step-by-step to help them realize their dream of being a homeowner.
What is the most challenging thing your organization has had to overcome?
With over 30 years of experience in the real estate business we have seen and been through a lot of changing markets, both up and down. The most challenging time was at the depths of the “Great Recession” around 2008-2010. We were very fortunate to have built such a strong and loyal client base as many agents were forced to leave the business during that time.
Anything you wish more locals knew about your organization?
Lamoureux Real Estate is more than just Barb and Chris selling homes in Everett. We have a dozen or so really great brokers at our company who work all over Snohomish County and the greater Puget Sound.
Your most important values?
Integrity, Respect, & Professionalism
Favorite thing you've done to give back to the community?
There’s a few favorites on this list. Chris LOVES partnering with our local sports teams such as the Silvertips, Aquasox and Everett High athletics. These organizations bring so much entertainment to our community! Barb has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the community through volunteer work with local organizations such as Housing Hope and Christmas House. She personally made a significant contribution to the City of Everett to help commission the Compass Rose mosaic at Grand Avenue Park in honor of a friend and city employee who lost her life from an unexpected illness.
What can Everett expect from you in the future?
We hope to continue “Improving the Real Estate Experience” for our friends and neighbors all over Everett and Snohomish County for many years to come!
What's your favorite thing about Everett?
It’s such a beautiful place to live between sunrise over the Cascade Mountains and golden sunsets on Puget Sound.
